Transit (NCTS) Declarations

T1 transit and NCTS movements handled across Europe

The New Computerised Transit System (NCTS) allows goods to move between countries under customs control without paying duties at each border. We prepare T1 (Common Transit) and TIR declarations for goods moving through Ireland, the UK and the EU under the Common Transit Convention (CTC).

This is essential for Irish hauliers using the UK landbridge to reach mainland Europe, and for transit consignments arriving via Dublin or Rosslare en route to Northern Ireland or the EU.

How It Works

  1. 1Provide movement details, consignor/consignee and route information
  2. 2T1 / NCTS declaration prepared and submitted
  3. 3Movement Reference Number (MRN) issued — driver receives Transit Accompanying Document
  4. 4Transit closed at office of destination, guarantee discharged
